It is a lovely late summer day, autumn has just begun and the leaves in the forest are coloring the ground from brown to yellow to red. You’ve just been out in the woods with family, enjoying the fresh scents and crisp temperature. The weather report this morning said that it should have actually been raining by now, which it luckily hasn’t yet. Not wanting to push your luck any further, you return to the lovely luxury vacation cottage: The beautiful villa bungalow “De Poothoeve”, just across the border with the Netherlands and Belgium, which you rent for a weekend away with the family.
The experience of renting a bungalow
Entering this bungalow is a delight of atmosphere and warmth. The exterior feels old and romantic, and the interior feels warm. The fireplace sits in a fireplace made of stone that exudes character. You start a fire right away. The large dining table is made of beautiful wood that, combined with the lighting, radiates atmosphere: An authentic coziness. The kitchen is huge and equipped with everything you need. The teenagers and children run straight down the stairs to the playroom where they will find everything they need: A “chill corner” with sofas, a foosball table and a pool table. There are also various games and toys for the younger children.
Upstairs in the living room, the fireplace is already doing its best by now. The flames are licking the wood and a cozy dancing light is spreading through the house. The promised rain is now starting to fall outside and you grab a nice cup of coffee for yourself and bring the hot tea to the rest of the family. You settle down in the soft couches for some good and cozy conversations and come here to relax completely. Plans are made for even more relaxation in the form of the sauna. These plans are promptly carried out and enjoyed to the fullest. Inside, the gentle tapping of the rain can be heard on this temporary bungalow for rent, and you are glad to be snug and warm inside.
When you searched where there were still bungalows for rent you landed on the perfect choice. This romantic bungalow offers the perfect base to enjoy the green surroundings. Nearby there are some beautiful walks along old castles and through large forests. Also Limburg you can be in a whim, with the cozy Maastricht where there is always plenty to do, from shopping in the many stores and the Friday market, to theater performances and movies in the city center.

The bungalow also has a very spacious garden, with a terrace, a soccer field and a jeux de boules court. The house has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Furthermore, it is also equipped with the aforementioned wonderful sauna with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen and a game room. Mooie bungalow, voorzien van alle zaken die op de website beschreven staan. Wellicht een beetje oubollig, maar voor onze teambuilding een perfect onderkomen. Gelegen in een rustige omgeving waar niet veel te beleven valt maar Maastricht ligt op 20 km afstand, dus voor het bruisende uitgaansleven ben je zo in de stad.
